Pizza Box Chalkboard—My DIY Life

Hello again. I know I haven't posted anything in quite some time, but I figured I don't have many readers anyway so I'm sure I wasn't missed.

I  would like to start by sharing some DIY projects I've been doing lately. I've been in my "nesting" phase (32 weeks pregnant) so I have been doing Do It Yourself projects NON-STOP!

Here is my latest Pizza Box Chalkboard Tutorial:

1. Find an empty pizza box

2. Cut or tear it apart at the seams and start folding it in the OPPOSITE direction it is already folded

3. Glue it back together inside out with a hot glue gun

4. Cut a hole in the back for it to hang

5. Tape some paper in the center to form a square (or use a not-too-tacky painters tape to tape off your edges. make sure it's not going to pull off the cardboard.)

6. Spray paint the border.
I used Rust-Oleum Hammered Oil Rubbed Bronze spray paint.

7. Let dry

8. Now for the inside square. Tape off (or use papers if you don't have painters tape) and spray paint the inside with Chalkboard paint. You may have to do a few coats of this.

9. Fix your edges if it needs it.

10. Let dry and CHALK!

(My edges didn't turn out straight enough so i used a paintbrush and painted on some copper/bronze acrylic paint to create a nice border.)

Ta-Daa!!
